A Sanctuary of Italian Elegance at Hotel Eden, Dorchester Collection
Rome, April 2025 — Completed in August 2024 and unveiled just before the Milan Design Week, the newly transformed spa at Hotel Eden—a flagship of the Dorchester Collection and winner of the Best Hotel in Rome 2024 by Condé Nast Traveler—marks a new chapter in quiet luxury.
Conceived and executed by Andrea D’Anca and his team at AD’ Design Studio, the project blends classical Roman heritage with contemporary Italian design intelligence, creating a multisensory space where craftsmanship, comfort, and emotional resonance coexist in one of the world’s most prestigious hotels—also recently featured in Emily in Paris for its timeless appeal.

Italian Design Heritage Meets Innovation at Hotel Eden Spa
The reception alone sets the tone: a sculptural Carrara marble desk with vertical fluting anchors the space, evoking imperial grandeur without excess. Behind it, a backlit onyx panel, created in collaboration with Pedretti Home, glows like a modern altarpiece—subtle, dramatic, and unmistakably Italian.

Custom shelving in extra-clear glass, integrated lighting, and mirrored walls extend the space visually while maintaining serenity. Every surface, line, and detail is measured—not to impress, but to align.

Giorgetti and Gallotti & Radice's pieces were chosen not just for style but also for sensorial balance. Andrea personally designed bespoke rugs to soften and ground the geometry, adding a layer of tactile warmth.
Advanced Wellness Design: The Multisensory Spa Experience
The treatment rooms reflect a deeper philosophy: that wellness is not about indulgence, but about restoring balance. Inspired by the celestial interiors of Rolls-Royce, each room features a starlit ceiling, creating the sensation of floating in stillness.

At the core lies the Gharieni RLX Aurasens chair—a state-of-the-art system integrating sound, vibration, and light to guide guests into deep states of relaxation. Materials include sound-absorbing curtains, blue light-reducing finishes, and sensory lighting to promote physiological calm.

“Luxury should feel like an exhale,” says Andrea. “We design for silence, not spectacle. Our goal is for each guest to enter the room and feel something shift, instantly.”

Designing for UHNWI: The Andrea D'Anca Approach
This project exemplifies the essence of AD’ Design Studio’s approach: deeply personal, discreet, and immersive. Andrea and his team don’t just design for clients—they live alongside them, study how they inhabit space, and translate those rhythms into tangible environments.
“Our clients are not seeking decoration,” Andrea explains. “They’re looking for certainty. For control. For spaces that think like they do, and understand them without speaking.”
The result is a turnkey experience for UHNWIs and luxury developers worldwide—from concept to procurement, logistics to final staging. AD’ Design Studio directly sources from Italy’s top artisans, eliminating intermediaries and delivering rare pieces at unmatched value—with zero friction.

The Art of Invisible Luxury: Hotel Eden Spa Case Study
What makes this spa different is not what it shows, but what it hides. Systems are invisible. Lighting is integrated. Luxury is structural, not ornamental. The entire space operates with the precision of a Swiss movement and the softness of linen.

According to Daiana Cantore, Spa Manager at Hotel Eden:
“Andrea’s transformation exceeded every expectation. Our guests immediately feel the difference—it’s not just a design, it’s an experience. Every line, every light, every sound is perfectly in tune.”
Unveiling for Milan Design Week 2025
Although completed in August 2024, the project was intentionally kept under wraps—until now. Its debut just before the Milan Design Week 2025 was carefully chosen to coincide with a moment of global attention in the design world, offering a glimpse into one of AD’ Design Studio’s most refined achievements to date.

A Quiet Signal to the Luxury Market
The Eden Spa is a signal for those operating in the upper echelons of luxury—whether in private living, iconic hospitality, or editorial curation—a rare intersection of restraint, refinement, and relevance.
It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t chase. It simply exists—precisely as it should.
